Who we are
Alice and Robert Kikkawa— to us they are G & G (Grandma & Grandpa). From Pasadena, California, they were most proud of 3 things: love for their family, perpetuating Japanese values, and supporting local communities.
Honoring Family
2 Daughters, 2 Sons, 5 Granddaughters & 5 Grandsons. Our Grandpa considered himself “the luckiest man in the world”.
We are Robert & Alice’s Grandchildren. It is an honor to share their legacy through this award.

Okage Sama De— we are who we are because of you. Through their resiliency & perseverance, our Grandparents honored Japanese values passed down from their parents.
From prepping traditional Japanese food on New Years to being contributing members of Pasadena Buddhist Temple, we are so lucky to have shared these experiences with them.
Supporting
local communities
G & G always hoped for the Pasadena Buddhist Temple and the Pasadena Bruins organization to work closely together.
Their loyalty & dedication shined through the way they gave back— volunteering at various events, making donations, advertising to friends and family, attending daily lunches to network, and much more.
